CPR/AED/First Aid Training

In the event of an emergency, it is critical that there are trained first responders on scene.  Since there is not always an athletic trainer at practices and events, coaches, parents, and administrators should be prepared to handle an emergency situation. Call 515-964-5000 to set up a First Aid/CPR/AED training session.  All of the classes listed below begin at 6:00 PM and will be approximately 4 hours in length An instructor can come to your place of business, or your group can come to our office.  In addition, The ATR hosts monthly certification classes on an individual basis.  Class size is limited so call or register online by clicking the links below.
We offer American Heart Association and American Red Cross Courses.
American Red Cross Courses: 

Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

This training will prepare you to respond quickly and calmly to emergency situations, which can help save a life.  Our upcoming classes are listed below and are held multiple times each month.  The course will provide you with basic first aid skills as well as response to a cardiac emergency.  If you are an employer and would like to schedule a session at your place of business, contact us at 515-964-5000. 

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

This training will prepare you to respond quickly to emergency situations and is required or strongly suggested for professionals working in gyms or fitness centers, as coaches, or as athletic trainers.  Our upcoming classes are listed below and are held monthly.  You will be trained to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies, obstructed airways, and the use of an AED.  If you are an employer and would like to schedule a session at your place of business, contact us at 515-964-5000.  

Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider
